This page explains how to request deletion of your Tideblocks account and of the data stored online with it. It complements the privacy policy, which describes in full what the game processes.

How to request deletion

Write to privacy@tideblocks.com, with "Account deletion" as the subject line.

Include in your message:

Tideblocks has no sign-up form, no password and no account email address. The publisher therefore has no other way to connect your message to a record. Without at least the nickname or the identifier, finding the data to delete may be impossible, and the request cannot be completed.

Processing time: 30 days at most from the moment the message is received. You receive a confirmation in reply once the deletion has been carried out.

What is deleted

The publisher then erases, from the game database:

That is everything the publisher holds about you. The game collects no real name, no email address, no phone number, no contacts, no location, no photos and no device identifier, so there is nothing else to erase.

Deletion is permanent. No copy is kept, and the matching progress cannot be restored.

What the publisher does not hold, and therefore cannot delete

Advertising data. If you chose to watch an ad video, the Google AdMob network received your device's advertising identifier, technical information about that device and data about your interaction with the ad. That information never passes through the publisher, who holds no copy of it and cannot erase it. It is retained by Google according to its own retention periods. There are three ways to act on it, set out in section 4 of the privacy policy:

Your Google Play Games or Game Center account. Deleting your Tideblocks data does not delete that account, which is not ours. To act on it, contact Google or Apple.

Data retained after deletion

Once the deletion is done, the publisher keeps no game data about you.

All that remains is the message containing your request, kept as evidence that the request was handled, then deleted at most twelve months after the reply. It contains only what you wrote in it yourself.

For as long as no request is made, the online data stays stored for as long as the account exists, so that you can recover your progress. It is never deleted automatically.

Two actions that erase nothing online

Uninstalling the game. Uninstalling, like clearing the application's data from Settings, removes what is stored on the device: local progress, settings, Daily Challenge results, and the technical token linking the device to the account. It does not remove the cloud save or the leaderboard entries, which stay on the server. Note that on an anonymous account, losing that token makes the cloud save unreachable from the game without deleting it. The email request is then the only way to make it go away.

Signing out. You can sign out of Google Play Games or Game Center from within the game at any time: the application then returns to the device's anonymous account. That is a step back, not a deletion. The data tied to the player account stays online until you ask for it to be deleted.
